Has been very reliable and still in good shape
By Ron | on Saturday, December 21, 2013
This is a company car that has given me very good service. It still averages 24.5 MPG. Drivers seat shows wear but is repairable. It has a lot of miles but still runs well. It gets all good miles and does not burn oil. the front seals are starting to get tired. I have used Mobil 1 for life of the car and change the oil every 5 to 6 thousand miles.… - 5.0
This car is extermely fun to drive!

Just change the oil with Mobil One, as recommended along with the usual preventive maintenance routine. Air filter, plugs, wires, tires, serpentine belt, rear end fluid, etc. You can also replace the magnetic shocks with Bilstein shocks, as the magnetic shocks do wear out and are not available anymore. If you find them, the price is outrageous. Bilsteins work great. Also, it's a good idea to flush the brake lines of old fuid, as well as flushing and replacing old coolant. One last thing that many Corvette owners suggest...be sure to use Chevron gasoline which has Techron as an additive. The C5's are known to have issues with sulphur buildup on the gas float in the tank. I had this problem, bought a couple of bottles of Techron at O'Reilly's auto store, and always use Chevron gas. The problem was corrected shortly after. Good Luck!… - 5.0

Responds quickly ,very quick when speed is needed , the styling is 5 star I like having the hardtop and glass ,. Full controls power seats windows and a few memory settings . Definitely worth the experience and they hold there value much better than your average brand also newer Corvettes no manual transmission which us a must have in my opinion…
